I may undergo V-Beam or another laser treatment...

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Tomorrow I have a consultation with a doctor who specializes in laser treatments to help get rid of some of my broken capillaries. From what I've read here, both the V-Beam and a Photo Facial would be viable options to eliminate these capillaries. I am hoping for some insight from those of you who have gotten your redness "zappped" on how you prepared your own skin prior to and after treatment (I also intend to ask the doctor, but would still appreciate your experiences).

Here are my daily treatments that I currently use:

Paula's Choice 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid

Retin-A

I also had been doing 55% lactic acid peels, which completely cleared up my acne, but have not done one for two months.

Do you expect I will need to temporarily stop using the Retin-A and/or salicylic acid? If so, for how long?

Also, there is a new treatment the doctor may advise called the Perfecta Skin Laser with Micropulse Technology, which is supposed to be superior to the traditional V-Beam.

Here is a link from the Dr.'s website:
