Here I will record my daily progress battle against blackheads. For a while I have only been using water on my face.

Today -no shave

Used fresh clean bath towel.

Changed pillowcases, pyjamas.

Had plain water shower thrice.

Some dried blackheads came out from my chest and back and arms.

My face still has plenty of small blackheads.

I hope I didn't sound rude, but can blackheads actually come off the skin naturally without any treatment? I have tried that before and my skin only got worse.

Yes they eventually all dry and come out without scarring you. Can take anywhere from six months to two years.

Do not force them out.

You have to be patient.

2 years? Why wait that that long?... its kind of gross, especially if you're talking about those really large noticeable blackheads. I think they just look gross, and its silly to wait for it to happen naturally when you could use some gentle exfoliation or some topicals to get it out. Natural may be the way to go in some cases, but if youleave a huge blackhead in a pore for years, it will likely permanently stretch the pore. I have seen this happen to people!

We do not want to want to damage the underlying skin base i.e the collagen.

As the blackhead dries out it becomes smaller. Simultaneously the pore around it shrinks, When the blackhead comes out on its own the enlarged pore will eventually shrink and close.

Another good effect of natural method is that very few reoccurance of blackheads will be observed in the same area.

So let's presume that in two years all your blackheads will have come out on their own. Would an exfoliant like BHA, which loosens sebum plugg, not only speed things up?

No because the blackheads will always come back again very quickly when you use exfoliants

With the natural way the blacheads do not come back again in the same area.

I have noticed this.

The body seems to know what it is doing.

your blackhead doesnt just fall out and your pores dont close.. ive had blackheads for 8 years and they sure as hell dont fall out.. where are you getting this theory that blackheads will just stop forming after 2 years.. it doesnt work like that.

I have noticed my blackheads do come out after they dry out .

Sometimes after a warm shower a gentle wipe of the face with the towel and they come out on my face. On my back/chest/arms slight scratching (with short fingernails of course) and presto I have a dried blackhead in my hands.

I will show you some enlarged pictures.

Normal skin has a soft, supple texture because of its water content. For skin to feel soft, pliable and "normal," its top layer must contain a minimum of 10% water ‚ and ideally between 20% and 35%. To help protect the outer layer of skin from losing water, the skin's sebaceous glands produce an oily substance called sebum. Sebum is a complex mixture of fatty acids, sugars, waxes and other natural chemicals that form a protective barrier against water evaporation. If the skin doesn't have enough sebum, it loses water and feels dry.

I want my skin to be "normal".

No exfoliation with acids. Sorry.

Apparently everyones skin is differnet and one persons blackheads are not the same as the next guy/girl.

My skin got bad aged 14 and I am now 39 and the blackheads just keep getting bigger and bigger.

If yours are coming out that easily you are lucky.

Started on Mandelic acid this week.

Some big blackheads on my face will take two years.

But it is worth the waiting time

Today morning shower no soap on upper body.

Noticed some amazing thing.

Some pitted hole scarring seems to be filling in i.e closing up.

Plain Water shower therapy seens great.

I am on the correct path.

Simple methods prevent skin trauma and milia, blackhead/ pimple formation.

Can already see results.

You have a lot of patience for 2 years of treatment.

Don't these blackheads bother the shit out of you?

Honestly, I could never be seen with a big one about to rupt. I'd have to squeeze that out or something.. cover it up. ahh I don't know the thought is just disgusting.

Sorry, but goodluck to you.
