This is the best philosophy on life ever (Ben Harper feat Jack Johnson).

Let us burn one

From end to end

And pass it over

To me my friend

Burn it long, well burn it slow

To light me up before I go

If you dont like my fire

Then dont come around

Cause Im gonna burn one down

Yes Im gonna burn one down

My choice is what I choose to do

And if Im causing no harm

It shouldnt bother you

Your choice is who you choose to be

And if your causin no harm

Then youre alright with me

If you dont like my fire

Then dont come around

Cause Im gonna burn one down

Yes Im gonna burn one down

Herb the gift from the earth

And whats from the earth

Is of the greatest worth

So before you knock it try it first

Youll see its a blessing

And not a curse

If you dont like my fire

Then dont come around

Cause Im gonna burn one down

Yes Im gonna burn one down

or play it:) I find playing it to be more satisfying than listening to the words of others who mostly have never been through what I have.. Not a bad song though.

Can't you see that it's just rainin'

There ain't no need to go outside

But baby, you hardly even notice

When I try to show you

this song It's meant to keep you

From doin' what you're supposed to

Like wakin' up too early

Maybe we could sleep in

I'll make you banana pancakes

Pretend like it's the weekend now

And we could pretend it all the time

Can't you see that it's just rainin'

There ain't no need to go outside

But just maybe, hala ka ukulele

Mama made a baby

I really don't mind the breakfast

Because you're my little lady

Lady, lady love me

Because I love to lay here lazy

We could close the curtains

Pretend like there's no world outside

And we could pretend that all the time

Can't you see that it's just raining

There ain't no need to go outside

Ain't no need, ain't no need

Can't you see, can't you see

Rain all day and I don't mind

The telephone singing, ringing, it's too early

Don't pick it up

We don't need to

We got everything we need right here

And everything we need is enough

It's just so easy

When the whole world fits inside of your arms

Do we really need to pay attention to the alarm

Wake up slow, wake up slow

But baby, you hardly even notice

When I try to show you this song

It's meant to keep you

From doin' what your supposed to

Like wakin' up too early

Maybe we could sleep in

I'll make you banana pancakes

Pretend like it's the weekend now

And we could pretend it all the time

Can't you see that it's just rainin'

There ain't no need to go outside

Ain't no need, ain't no need

Rain all day and I really, really, really don't mind

Can't you see, can't you see

We've got to wake up slow

I suppose being a stoner just doesn't fit in with society in general. Especially with the mind altering that occours. It really has to be a journey that those around you share, otherwise you're going to be some warped loner.

I suppose people like Ben Harper and Jack Johnson have the luxury of being surrounded by people with similar ideals and lives. I'm not so sure that listening to thier music and smoking pot in your room alone for years would benefit your mind and soul in quite the same way it does thiers!

That said, they both make amazing music. I also like a bit of Folk, mainly Australian artists. Carus Thompson is great. Have any of you people heard of Xavier Rudd? He's one of a kind. Awesome music, my sig is some of his stuff.

i fuckin love Xavier Rudd. lately since my acnes been coming back ive been spending hours on my computer downloading and listening to music every day. Jack Johnson's music over the past few years has lifted my spirits so many times man, i don't know what i wouldve done without it. when my skins clear i know how awesome it feels and i go out and chilll with all my buddies, but when its bad i just feel so shitty and i dont wanna go anywhere. this is when i kick back, light up my bong or a nice lil joint, throw on some chill tunes and just groove. works like a charm. here are some other great artists in the jack johnson/ben harper/etc. category:

damien rice

pete murray

ed harcourt

matt costa

fuckin a, man.

Never let them see you suffer, laugh at your failures, celebrate your weaknesses and above all other things remain true to yourself. Maintain this and in the eyes of your friends, peers and family you will become a God.
