hi ladies: if i want to have my period a couple days earlier, can I stop taking the last couple active yellow pills for a few days?

I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, stopping your pills will probably make you have a "period" (periods on BCPs aren't actual periods), but you probably won't be protected. You need to take a full 21-day cycle to be protected during your placebo week.

I've been taking straight active pills for three months now, with no periods and no placebo weeks. If you're trying to prevent having your period on a certain date, I'd recommend skipping the placebo week entirely and going two packs without a period. That way you're still protected. If during the second pack you decide you want your period, you can stop taking active pills for seven days and you'll still be protected.
