Clogging AND irritating

Ppl seem to love this. Not sure if it’s the coconut derivative cleaner or the glycerin, but this clogs my pores horribly. I can’t use any similar cleansers.

This also left my skin itchy. I tried so hard to make it work. Second step after oil cleanse. Second step after my usual cleanser. I never get clogged pores bc I have such dry skin. Only hormonal cysts during certain times of the month. But this def clogged pores.

Ive read others have similar experiences, so the list of comedogenic ingredients needs to be updated. I know when i use glycerin & water I get bumps. So my skin can’t breathe or something with glycerin cleansers.

If you want a great cleanser, try the cetaphil gentle foaming cleanser. That has helped my teenage daughter w oily skin & horrible blackheads. She uses that & persa gel & her skin is soooo much better.

If like me, you can’t stand the film these leave, try the cetaphil gentle cleansing bar. I can’t usually tolerate fragrance & it doesn’t bother me. Still on the hunt for a fragrance free version tho. But my skin stays clear with this & cerave lotion.

It is very good so far.

I usually use raw black soap by plant guru in the summer and grapeseed oil as a moisturizer. I wanted more of a moisturizing cleanser in the winter because black soap is too harsh for me during the winter and grapeseed oil. Recently I used nature Republic aloe Vera gel that left me with cystic acne in 3 days. I have not had cystic acne in two years. I got a travel size of this foaming cleanser I seen results in 3 days. I also can use the grapeseed oil with out it feeling drying. It comes out as a gel add water and apply to my face it feels like I am washing my face with little bubbles. It feels very theraupeutic. I rinsed then apply a dime size a grape seed oil on damp skin and I am left with a glow. MY cystic acne has went down 75percent. I have used this for two weeks granted I might have skipped a day. My face feels very smooth. I was so impressed I went out and bought the 12 oz bottle because I am so pleased with this product. I like this better than the hydrating cleanser it felt like cetaphil and it broke me out like cetaphil. By the way I have combo/ oily acne prone sensitive skin. I found I am sensitive to fragrances, and asorbic acids, and salicylic acids.

What happened?
I used to kinda like this cleanser, I first used it last year so I could clear my acne but it never really did, it never broke me out though. I stopped using it and I've been using the dr.bronners soap and now I came back to this to see if it'll clear my skin up. But for some reason I broke out with Whitehead's all over my forehead and my face was itchy and it broke out in hives. My nose was swollen and I've used this for two extra days and my Whitehead's came to the point that it hurt to even wash my face. Now I have more Whitehead's, shiny face, and itchy red bumps on my face. What's happening?

Drying. I prefer the hydrating one.
It's drying and stings my nostrils. I bought it once and finished the bottle but I did not repurchase. On the other hand, CeraVe's hydrating cleanser is a staple in my regimen.

Love it
Ive seen people say that this face wash breaks them out? i dont think it does, its comedogenic. I really love this cleanser, ive definitely noticed an improvement in my skin's texture and i think it's due to the ceramides. I also think this cleanser has helped with my skin's redness and irritability. I will definitely be repurchasing this, i love that it comes in a pump and the size is very big.

AVOID - immediate cystic acne/skin rash that was red and irritated beyond belief
CeraVe foaming facial cleanser contains Sodium laureth sulfate which is a documented toxin. It has also been shown that SLES causes eye or skin irritation. it is a cheap foaming agent that will irritate your skin beyond belief. I gave this the benefit of the doubt so that I could save money and tried it for one week with the CeraVe lotion. By the 7th day I woke up with cystic acne 2cm wide and skin rashes so bad I couldn't cover them with makeup. I will return to using my HG Kheil's products even though I am a student and can barely afford them! :( if anyone has cheap alternatives let me know but this product ruined my face for the year.

nope
I did not care for this cleanser. I've heard how cerave is like fancified cetaphil since they have some pretty nice ingredients in their products. I used this cleanser and liked it but had skin color bumps show up around my jaw the next day. I didn't continue to use it.

Perfection- The best that I've used
This face wash has really helped with clearing my acne. I've been using it for 3 months. You know how your skin can feel tight after washing your face? Yeah, that's bad for your skin and will not help your acne. This face wash doesn't leave you feeling tight or dry even if you wash it like 3 times back to back. It's gentle, it cleans your face really well, and you can use it throughout the whole day and not dry out your face. From someone who has acne since 12 and currently at 21- I highly recommend it. Absolutely the best I've used.

Not good
I bought it because i needed a new cleanser and i read practically all of the reviews of this and decided it was the best one available. Cleared my skin at first and i loved the clean feeling it left me with afterwards, but it all went downhill after about a month of that. My skin was consistently broken out for months and i kept religiously using this because i thought it was the only good thing for my skin. Turns out, this product is not truly non-comedogenic, if you go to a site called acne mantra, you can copy and paste ingredient lists and it will tell you what specific ingredients are likely to cause acne. I entered the ingredients for this cleanser and not only are there comedogenic ingredients but there are parabens as well. I'm glad it works for a lot of people though, too bad my skin is just too reactive.
