Drying, caused acne-like rash

After using this face wash on and off for about 1.5 years, I recently noticed my skin seemed very dry and irritated. A rash-like reaction began to occur along my neck and the sides of my face, and I was using no other products. Also, the rash wasn't just on my face...I was getting comedones and red sores on my arms, collarbones, even my forearms a few times, as well as my shoulders, since I used the wash on my body when I ran out of soap. It was obviously the foaming cleanser to blame.

This cleanser will strip your skin even if it doesn't cause an allergy. I regret forcing myself to use it--I'm very reactive to most products and this is supposed to be 'safe.' But this just goes to show that a 'safe' and 'allergy-friendly' product can actually be trash.

I've switched to Dermalogica's gentle cleansing gel wash and it's helped so much already. 98% of the acne-like rash has disappeared. I saw an IMMEDIATE improvement upon no longer using the Simple foaming cleanser.

Didn't work for me
The complete opposite thing happened when I bought this. As soon as I used it, my skin felt very itchy and tight. Every time I would use it, that same feeling would happen, and the itch was almost painful. After only 3 days of using this, my skin had broken out in tons of whiteheads, and a few under-the-skin pimples. I decided to stop using it, and my skin calmed down, and the itching stopped.
