Elimination/low carb diet: 6 week update



Hi all,

This is a progress post. Pics at the bottom. 

My skin continues to heal, and it feels better everyday. Sometimes I get little breakouts. But they are so minor and they dont come to a head. They just disappear in a day or two as long as I leave it alone. My skin is smooth and not as dry. The only problem I encountered was when I had a drink during virtual happy hour at work. I had an unsweetened gin and tonic and broke out the next two days between my eyebrows. I was a little annoyed but I think those will go away pretty easily. 

My routine remains simple; wash with water and moisturize in the morning, wash with sulfate free cleanser and moisturize at night. I also keep my net carb intake below 30g a day. And have been steadily reintroducing foods with no issues.

I’m going to have to increase my carbs a little because I have developed a rare itchy body rash as a result of being low, low carb. It’s called keto rash. It’s rare so don’t worry if you’re on this low carb diet. I plan to continue these updates on my skin as I increase my carb intake.
