My Acne



So I've I had acne for 2 years now and its gotten to the point where I don't know what to do. I've done everything to try and clear my acne. First of all I have changed my diet I no longer eat Nuts, Soy, Gluten, Carbs, Sugar or fruits High in sugar. I also taken natural supplements such as curcumin, cod liver oil, zinc, green detox, collagen, etc. (all together I probably take 8-10 natural supplements). My breakfast consists of a kale smoothie and eggs whites. Topically I apply tretinoin cream and spot treat with benzoyl peroxide at night. In the morning I spot treat with aczone. I'm pretty sure its genetics because my mother had acne as well and took things such as accutane and birth control. However none of those things worked for her. I have a high suspicion that my acne is caused by hormonal imbalance such as high androgen levels. But, I do not want to take harsh medications that will synthetically and momentarily control it. I want to have long term effects through diet and various vitamins/supplements.  I've honestly tried everything and have reached a point where I feel hopeless. I feel like the first thing people notice about me is my acne and I feel ugly/ashamed. Even worse is that my family keeps commenting on it. I just want to avoid going at. At this point I do not know what to do. If anyone can help me that can be appreciated.

I feel your pain. I have successfully cleared my acne and am on my scar revision, which is about 1-3 years of slow progress.

There were 2 things I did. Diet and Acne.org's treatment


Diet was 100% the trigger for my acne. Processed foods, gluten, soy, dairy, and the biggest killer : Vegetable Oil. 

Check to make sure you are not eating any vegetable oils. They are inflammatory. Acne is an inflammatory disease. 

I eat a sad but manageable diet. Extra virgin olive oil for frying only, 1 cup rice, chicken, broccoli, eggs, and peanut butter. I have never had a breakout eating these good yummy foods.


I'm sure you know about BP and all kinds of stuff, but the gentle application, moisturizing, and timing is crucial or else its all for naught.

Please take the time to watch the complete 5 min video they have. I really really hope you figure out how to get clear and more importantly STAY clear. It is a long process but it is crucial to prioritize this to prevent any scarring. I don't know how bad it is for you, but I hope it all works out. Mine was moderate cystic acne and I am still dealing with the scarring 1 year out, but diet and treatment have been my rock solid foundation for treating this terrible disease. Happy new years!

How is your digestion? I had all of those foods as triggers to my symptoms (including acne) as well and my problem ended up being SIBO and an enzyme deficiency. Digestive enzymes (creon) have helped me tremendously. SIBO is a little complicated to get rid of (multiple rounds of antibiotics) so I don’t have solid advice on treatment there but it’s worth looking into.

I would say my digestion is good, I take digestive enzymes and apple cider vinegar pills. Thank you for your suggestions.
