Naturopathic Update
This last week and a half has been an uncomfortable time for me. My skin has broken out in a way that it hasn't for a long time. It has forced me to really face my insecurities and fears surrounding having acne. As a part of that process, i have decided to incorporate more holistic solutions to my spiro usage. The first thing i did was create a vision board. In order to get where you want to go, you have to have a map, right? Health is smack dab in the middle of my board and will include getting physically, emotionally and skin healthy.
To address my emotional health, i will incorporate stress and depression reducing activities such as yoga and journaling. There is also CBT which will allow me to think about the way i approach things and the negative and falsified assumptions i make about what i and others think about myself/skin.
Addressing my physical health, naturopath and i both agree that I need to do my part of exercising and eating better (bye bye simple sugar and processed foods). I'm embarking on a 30 day challenge of clean eating and more activity to jump start the detox of my body. Supplements and meds will stay the same.
Skin wise, I will focus on manifestations. Learning to ask what I want and living as if i've got it. This will probably be the hardest part as it involves letting go and giving up control.
2020 is a year i predict changes for the better so looking forward to better progress in the future. All the best for the New Year!
