For the last 10 days I’ve been taking homeopathic remedies prescribed by a homeopath and my skin is clear! It might be the remedies but it may get also be the benzoyl peroxide. For the first time in ages I haven’t got a sore, red, inflamed face and the things I’m putting on my skin are not causing irritation. Before, I couldn’t use moisturiser, sunscreen, spot treatments or makeup as everything causeda flare up, but now I can. I’m so relieved and happy, I can’t tell you how much this has done for my self esteem and mood.

The remedies prescribed for me are unique to my constitution. I was given Lachesis for my hormones and emotional state, nux vom for liver support and thios for my keloids. If you want to try homeopathy, please go to a professional, it’s not about picking a remedy for the spots, it’s about treating all the imbalances in your body, which will in turn sort out the skin.

Topically I am using two pumps of acne.org BP at night and just half a pump in the morning. I’m washing with cetaphil oily skin cleanser and using La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Nuit as my moisturiser. In the morning I also use La Roche-Posay Anthelios xl spf50. The cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen were things I was using when my skin was bad, so I don’t think they have helped clear anything, the changes definitely feel like they have come from within.

When I previously went to the Chinese doctor she said I needed to sweat more to remove toxins and I have been trying to do a bit more exercise, been running and have used a sauna. It’s all a virtuous cycle really, more exercise=better sleep= better skin= less picking= less irritation= feeling better etc.

Of all the things I’m doing I don’t know which thing made the difference, but things started getting better after the homeopathic treatment (within days of starting) so maybe that was the catalyst.
