Week 1

Hello, let me give you a little bit of background about my acne. I had acne ever since I was 13 years old, I went to the dermatologist and she gave me some cream (I don't remember the name) and it worked wonders for me, within 3 months my entire face was clear. After that, I would get the occasional zit here and there but nothing really too major. In high school, around my junior year I start breaking out again, I tried everything, even proactiv, which worked for a little bit but slowly my face got used to it. I decided to get on birth control shortly after and let me tell you my face never had a single pimple. Well now I'm 22 years old, and I've been off birth control for a whole year and my face has gotten worse. I have little white bumps all over my face, especially my chin area and tons of big pimples on my cheeks, and I even have bad hyperpigmentation and tons of acne scars. I have tried everything, including getting back on birth control, not wearing makeup etc. I couldn't get into the dermatologist again January so I heard about Differin and how it was available over the counter. I've been on it for one week now and my face is so broke out! I started using it every three days so that my skin would get used to it. I'm not experiencing any side affects but the "purge" stage is awful. I wake up with a new pimple every single day. It's really killing my self confidence and I know it's gonna get worse before it gets better but my self confidence is the lowest it's ever been. I don't even wanna go out unless I have tons of make up on. :( I'll check in next week and tell you guys how I'm doing, I have combination-sensitive skin.
