I have been on birth control pills for 7 months now! For the first couple of months I was using Brenda-35 but one day when I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription they were out of it and gave me Estelle-35 claiming that it's the same thing. I believe Estelle worked better for me but I cannot be too sure. That being said, I will continue with Estelle from now on.

I hardly break out anymore which is something that I thought that I would never be able to say and it is a blessing that I'm so grateful for! I'm now only using the pills, Cetaphil cleanser, NeoStrata 8 AHA, Banish Vitamin C serum, Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Scrub (about 2-3 times a week) and extra virgin olive oil to remove my makeup. The combination and continuous use of all these products have made an amazing difference to the texture and hyperpigmentation on my skin. Acne.org used to be my safe haven back when I was breaking out profusely because I could vent here, share my journey, feel understood and not feel judged because we're all going through the same terrible affliction. As my skin improved over the past couple of months, I have deviated away from this blog and site because things were working well for me. I will try to be better at updating my journey.

My number one focus skin-wise now is my minimal hyperpigmentation. I only got back to scrubbing two months ago and it has made SUCH a massive difference on my scars! Previously I tend to stay away from scrubs like they were the plague because it is such a hassle to scrub the skin around my pimples and be careful of not accidentally breaking them. I've been looking into microdermabrasion and acid peels done by beauticians but as an unemployed university student, I don't think I can make such a big expenditure right now. Thus, I've been debating if I should buy the Personal Microdermabrasion Device (PMD) which is an at home tool that you can use without spending money at beauty clinics. It's a huge investment (AUD $200+) though! A lot of beauty gurus on Youtube swear by it but I'm cautious because they are sponsored videos. I really want to get these treatments done so that I'm 100% scar free because I'm still not fully comfortable wearing no makeup outside. Honestly my skin doesn't look that bad anymore but it's more because of the residual anxiety that I used to feel back then.

Sometimes I AM comfortable wearing no makeup but I end up wearing it because it helps my seriously oil slick of a face to stay pretty matte all day. I have not yet been able to find a moisturizer that can keep my skin matte all day so please do suggest a product if you know one (preferable one that is affordable).

That's it from me folks! Ttyl~
