Week 12

I have been planning to start a blog since a long time and finally got time for it. These online inputs I believe are really useful for people who are battling with acne and I got tremendous help from this website. That's why I thought of starting a blog so that it'll help people, atleast a little bit, who are struggling out there.

I am in the week 12 of my acne.org regimen and its been a journey with so many ups and downs. Ups include drastically reduced number of breakouts and downs include dryness and sudden breakouts. Now, this may vary with every person. Some people as I have read on the website take as less as one month to clear up while some take as long as 6 months. That's what keeps me going. I am almost about to enter my 3rd month on the regimen and I still breakout. But it is somehow better than it used to be where nothing was under control.

What I am facing this week: There are 2 new active pimples. They are probably there because of that time of the month. I switched to the cetaphil moisturizer from acne.org moisturizer after a lot of debate and after reading a lot of reviews. It has reduced my flaking drastically. I use cetaphil when I sense extreme dryness whereas cerave when my skin is not so dry. I will keep you updated with these moisturizers as it's only been 5 days I quit acne.org moisturizer and its too soon to judge. I follow rest of the regimen to the T and have included AHA as well.
