I've always had a few pimples a month but usually nothing major and they'd go away quickly. In the past I've used the Regimen and Epiduo and The Body Shop's tea tree oil products (which I've since read contain pore-clogging ingredients so that may be the cause of some of this). These products would work for a long time and then eventually my acne would get worse, and I'd switch products a few times until I found something new that worked.

Since ~January, however, my acne has gotten much worse than it's ever been and I can't figure out how to stop it. I recently learned (maybe 1.5 months ago) that Microgestin can cause acne, so I stopped taking birth control immediately. I tried getting facials-- I had 3 (1/month) and they seemed to help but my skin looked so good before the last one and broke out terribly after, so I'm afraid to go again. I was using GloTherapeutics Conditioning Milk Cleanser (recommended by the lady who gave me my facial), GloTherapeutics oil-free moisturizer, and GloTherapeutics Renew Serum (retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid). But then I freaked out after the breakout from the facial and ordered GloTherapeutics Purifying Gel Cleanser (salicyclic acid),  GloTherapeutics Clear Anti-Blemish Treatment (bp), and the same moisturizer (with 1 drop of tea tree oil).

I don't know what I'm doing. I have so many new products that I don't know which ones will do the job. I've had good experiences with bp in the past, so I think I will use the new products for ~1-2 months before trying something new, so I can give it time to work. My skin IS better than when I was on birth control, but it's still not good and I'm still getting new pimples.

Venting felt good. I'll update everyone on my progress.
