Day 1

At the age of 32 I have finally had enough and started on Roaccutane. I don't have severe acne at all, but man its tough. It leaves those red marks that mean I am forever in foundation. Nothing works and I have tried everything. This is the last resort. It started at 17 and now at 32, i think 15 years? It's not going anywhere!
My derm has started me on 30mg a day and today I started off with 20mg.

I have a long history of Anxiety and depression and I also have BPD for anyone who is familiar with this. I take 20mg or Fluoxetine a day for this (Prozac).
I want to keep a blog so I can personally keep an eye on myself as I go through treatment. I have been told it can have mental health effects so I really want to monitor things and putting it in writing here will help that.

I can not lie, I am cautious about the upcoming 6 months, all I can do is have a go. I am hopeful.

Day 1.

Just wondering how easy was it for you to get accutane? I live in England and I have just been referred to go see a NHS dermatologist. My skin, I would say is similar to yours when its a really really good skin day but most of the time it is worse because I get large pustules all over my checks and my back also.  I have tried everything it seems but I am worried that I will get put on more antibiotics rather than roaccutane.
