Like a Desert

I am just past week 3 and my lips are officially feeling the full side affects of accutane. They are constantly peeling and hurt. I can't really eat anything acidic because it hurts. Even applying aquaphor every 30 minutes isn't seeming to help anymore.  I was before too. I am currently awaiting my order of Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. I've heard great things about it and am hoping that that in combination with aquaphor will help!
Other than that, my skin has been flaky, but I've been layering lotions, creams, and oils on my face in the morning and night to combat this and the dryness isn't anywhere near where my lips are. It's so far been manageable, and hopefully will stay that way. I am loving my new dry scalp. Other than some itchiness, I love that I no longer have to wash my hair every day for fear of looking like I dumped my head in a pan of grease after a long day. I can style it, and if I don't work out, can actually sleep on it without having to shower the next morning!
I bought an awesome shampoo/conditioner off amazon that has significantly helped with my itchy scalp/flakes. The " DHS with Zinc Shampoo" and the " DHS Conditioning Rinse" have been amazing. They are a bit pricey, but I bought mine off of amazon for a total of about $22, which is totally worth it for the relief I have felt since using them.
I will eventually blog a list of products I've been using on my face/body since I am really liking all of them.
