Update

Hi guys,

Another day, another dollar. I'm currently at work on a Friday afternoon and thought hmmm I haven't updated my "blog" in a while. Obviously when we have a breakout, we jump onto google/acne.org in the hopes of finding an answer. I'm just going to paste my skincare routine from my prev blog entry & then add some notes. This is less boring then reading paragraphs.

Just to update you though, my acne has now shifted from my cheeks (relieved not to have to deal with constant cysts) - to my forehead, but only localized on my right side - not sure if this is hormonal, seems to flare up around TOM. I always feel like forehead acne makes your face look yucky :( if you have ANNNYYY tips to get forehead acne under control please please please let me know. The struggle is so real right now.................

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if you have any experience on the above products, and let me know what you think. I really want to engage and share tips.

I'd say I was 80% clear compared to my acne at it's worse (while on Yasmin ARGHHH) but this forehead thing is distressing.

Bye for now

Hey there! So what I realized from getting about 2 months of constant forehead breakouts (right in the middle too, like I swear it was the worst part to breakout) to nothing at all in that region is that it has to do with gut balance. I was taking doxycycline, and I ended up switching to bactrim (yes, it is still an antibiotic but it targets different bacteria) and it pretty much cleared my whole face about 80-90%. I also stopped using topicals, even though I did find Epiduo Forte to be an amazing spot/area treatment, just far too harsh for my entire face. Most importantly though is I stopped washing my face too much, and simplified my regimen to the point where I didn't even moisturize. I am on my 3rd week of accutane now and no forehead breakouts whatsoever. Only taking one pill of bactrim now and for another month. I would say I'm 95% clear. ANYWAYS I am obviously not an expert haha, this is just my experience! But once I googled forehead acne, it ALWAYS talked about gut imbalance! Good luck!

Oh gosh thanks for this info so handy. My entire face is 90% with the exception of the right top hand corner of my forehead. It's so bizarre!! It calms down completely then flares up a couple week a later. I have epiduo so may try it as a spot treatment but generally Bp doesn't agree with me. The flare ups go within a few days if I don't touch them. I feel like I've gone full circle ...forehead acne, full blown hormonal cheeks chin everywhere and now back to forehead which suits me fine. Thanks for your comment though let me know how you're getting on
