Trying to stay positive!

Hello everyone! I'm on day 98 of Spiro, today makes exactly 14 weeks. I got super discouraged on Saturday because my skin looked terrible. My left cheek was so red and irritated that it was all I thought about all day. So I've been trying to drink lots and lots of water and be extra gentle when I wash my face. Yesterday morning I used my Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and last night I used the Dove Sensitive Bar Soap and used my Clarisonic. After that, I used the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask that I just got from Sephora. It's a peel off mask, but a lot of the reviews said when they peeled it off, it really irritated their skin. So after I left it on for 30 minutes, I used a warm wash cloth and held it to my face for about 15 seconds, then I just used warm water and splashed it on my face until it was all off, then I turned the water to cool and splashed my face a couple more times. I obviously can't tell a huge difference after one use, but my face does feel SO soft and clean.
I'm going to do my best this week to keep my hands off my face and stop touching/picking all the time! That's definitely one of my biggest problems. I'm also going to try to stop thinking about my skin so much and keep thinking positively. I have to remember there are so many more important things to worry about than my skin. We all have something we're battling and this just happens to be mine. I'm also going to post a couple pictures of my skin for the first time; one from Saturday and one from today. As hard as it is for me to post these, I know there are other people going through this and I just want us to stop being embarrassed and ashamed of ourselves. Even though many of us can't see past our skin, for this one thing that's not so great, there are 1,000 other things that are great about you. Keep your head up everyone!

I'm on spiro too!  Just passed the 2 month mark (first month on 50mg and second month on 100 mg).  Skin is worse than when i started and now I am experiencing a flare on top of the horrendous acne i already have...boo hoo.

Keep on posting.  There are not too many current spiro logs on here so i'm happy to follow yours.

Skin today looks much improved from your saturday pic.

@leelowe1 thank you! I've probably read every article on the internet about Sprio lol. Once my gyno put me on it, I was pretty obsessed with reading everything I could about it. It's so hard to be patient on it though! Lol a lot of the reviews said they were 90% clear at or right after 3 months, so I'm definitely getting frustrated waiting for that to happen to me. I've been on 100mg a day since the day I started, I'm wondering if they'll up my dose next time I go. We'll see! But it's nice to talk to people who are going through the same thing!
