Day 1



Today I am going to start washing with water only. I have already lowered the temperature and lengths of my showers, and I have seen lots of improvement already. Last night I washed my face gently in the shower with my CeraVe cleanser. The product does not seem to be irritating my skin but I want to see if cutting out all cleansers/topicals will improve my skin even more.

In addition, I have also been eating less dairy and gluten. I switched over to almond milk and I am trying to eat more gluten-free products. I'm also cutting back on pizza and fried foods, I'll try only to eat these things once a week if I want them.

My skin looked decent when I woke up today, the scars on my cheeks seem to be fading. I have had a breakout near my jawline a few days ago, nothing major, but it seems to be healing up now. My forehead is pretty clear except for one pimple right in the center (ugh >.<) but it has scabbed and will probably heal in a few days.

In general, I feel like my skin has been improving and I'm pretty happy with it. I feel more comfortable and confident going out without makeup on, as I think my face looks pretty clear from a distance. I also feel like less people are staring at my skin, which is a huge relief.

I'm going to the beach today (Probably for the last time this summer :cry:) so hopefully a little bit of sun and salt water will help my skin. I don't want to get burnt again so this time I will bring a hat and sunglasses just in case.

I'll update you tomorrow morning and let you know how my first water-only shower goes :)
