Looking To The Future...

so it's been over a week or two since I've quit differin and as expected, I'm breaking out, even on my forehead. My pores are so congested and it's quite distressing to see my skin deteriorate. I am getting a lot more inflammatory acne too, especially around my chin/mouth areas. It is very clear that I need to be on some sort of acne treatment plan as I am extremely acne prone.

One piece of good news though is that my skin is not as painfully dry as it was and eczema has gone down since restating the elidel cream. I am going to continue using it until my facial on Tuesday. I'm going to discuss with her starting an acne protocol if my skin is not too irritated as going two weeks on nothing spells disaster.

As for my stress level, they are way down. This move was a good move on my part. One thing though that I need to address is diet, I have been way off track since the middle of June and even though diet had not help clear me up, my body feels sluggish. If I can get my immune system to work better, maybe it can do its job to help my skin. I already started to incorporate green smoothies back into my diet as well as more greens. I will phase out eating beef so often and consume more salmon, chicken and turkey.

Not sure what will happen next but all I can do is keep moving forward.

I'm sorry that your pores are congested and you're feeling set back by this, but I think your stress decreasing and you improving your diet are huge steps forward!

Wishing you the best of luck and hoping you find a regimen that works for you!!! Keep your chin up and keep going! :)
