Day 44

Hello my beauts! So day 44 of this journey and well the dryness around my eyes is just unreal. I don't know if last time I mentioned that I got an eye cream but that isn't even working for me! It's all super red and flaky and itchy. Just plain unpleasant really.

My face is healing up quite a bit since the last awful breakout. There is about 4 spots still there but the rest are getting much better. However, my face is dry too and flaky so makeup for me right now is like a no go. If anyone knows any super way of applying makeup to dry skin please let me know! It's all still pretty red though so it would be sort of hard to cover anyway but the dryness makes it even more difficult.

I'm drinking plenty of water! About two litres a day and maybe some of ye would say that that is nothing, but it is quite impressive for me. Like I'd usually drink a bottle of water in a day but this is something more.

Hmm.. This is me trying to figure out if I have any other new.. I don't think so really. Oh, I'm off the medication that I was on when I had a cold since now my cold is fully gone! Happy times and all that. So hopefully my dry skin will get better now because I really noticed a significant increase in the dryness when I was on those tablets. Fingers crossed anyway.

Leave me a comment or just send a message if you want to ask me something! Thanks again x

Hey, I was on Accutane last year. I had a ton of dryness on my face, lips, and eyes. One thing that REALLY helped is mixing a bit of Aquaphor (the big tube - available at Walmart/ Target) with CeraVe moisturizer or whichever moisturizer you're using. Apply this before you go to bed to your eyes and lips.

Another thing that might work for face dryness is Cetaphil moisturizer in the tub, I heard that is super moisturizing!

Hey :) Thanks for the comment! I was using Aquaphor just on my lips but I might try that around my eyes too to see if it helps any. I'm using the cetaphil moisturiser on my face. I haven't seen much of CeraVe around since I'm living in Ireland but I'll give it a look anyway! Thanks again x
