So, as those of you who have been following my blog know, I have been seeing a naturopath since October. I am happy to report that the supplements that she has prescribed have gotten my blood sugar back in normal range and I am no longer in the pre-diabetic range so woot woot! In regards to my skin though, I have not seen enough consistent improvement to say that the regimen that she has me on has helped or hurt. In any event, here are the changes we are going to make.
I will be doing a 14 day paleo cleanse detox which will mean 2 paleo shakes a day and one full meal plus addition supplements. I will suspend my regular supplements with the exception of the evening primrose oil and fem bal.
When I return to see her on April 25th, I will do something called thermography which is basically thermal imaging. She said that this will show any points of inflammation including estrogen dominance so we'll see. There is not enough research on the Internet about it to say if it is legit but I have a good enough relationship with my naturopath to be willing to try it out.
Here's to hoping things will start to move in the right direction skin wise.
