Hello! So after I realized that the Regimen moisturizer was actually CAUSING the intense flakiness of my skin, I bought Cetaphil as a replacement lotion. Hopefully I don't jinx it, but I've been using it for about 2 days (morning and night) and so far, I really love it.
My skin feels lot softer and the flakes are practically gone. There's still a tiny bit of dryness, but after I put the Cetaphil on in the morning my skin stays almost perfectly smooth all day. (I'm still adjusting to the BP, so I'm not expecting all of the dryness to completely disappear.) Since my face doesn't feel so tight and dry anymore, I was able to increase the BP dose a little to a thick 3/4 of a finger length. I'm going to wait another week before using the entire finger length, just to be safe.
Anyway, since the Cetaphil is white, my skin no longer looks tan or yellowy. This lotion is also a little more creamy, so at first it was harder for me to rub in. However, I've already gotten used to it and it does absorb pretty quickly as long as you don't use too much. The first time I used it, I used 2 full pumps (since I was used to using 3 pumps of the Regimen moisturizer with 8 drops of Jojoba oil). It was really difficult to rub it all in and it took a while, so when I woke up, I only used 1 pump. Surprisingly, 1 pump lasts my skin the whole day!
At this point I'm just really hoping that my skin doesn't start breaking out again, because some people say that Cetaphil clogs pores and breaks them out. So far so good, I'm crossing my fingers!
