Day 19

JolieJulie

Hello, everybody!

So, the summer has come to the UK too...Finally no more rains...good, sunny weather....Yeeeeaaaaahhhh..Which is very nice because the sun improves my skin a lot))) What about you? Did you notice any changes on your skin during summer when you turn your faces to the UV, eh?

Trying (in vains) to find any article or post or anything to convince myself that sun really helps when you have acne pron skin...but..nope...nothing

My skin really looks better and not only because it gets gorgeous tan and the general appearance is nicer...I feel, it's becoming smooth (you may not believe it). Spots kind of start disappear..Or maybe it seems to me...

But I am here to ask you WHICH SUNSCREEN COSMETICS DO YOU USE (IF YOU DO)??? I'm talking about the whole body care and face (certainly) too. Thanks)

Hello!

I use L'Occitane 'Jenipapo' (body cream, lip gloss, shower oil, body lotion) and like it a lot. The fragrances are very nice (no typical "sunscreen lotion smells"). I easily get a tan, that's why don't need high SPF.

HHNNN, So, in fact, as far as I understand, you don’t use any extra sun protection cosmetics for your face? And what about the makeup? Does it have UVA, UVB protection?

Hey, JolieJulie! Didn’t want to seem incompetent and you made me find it on the internet, so saying it to everybody out there: UVB rays cause the sunburn, girls. UVA rays can result in pigmentation. Both can be dangerous without special cosmetics you apply on yourself.

Well, honestly, I’ve never thought about it so seriously. My makeup doesn’t seem to have any sun protection…But c'mon, I use this stuff only when I go to chill out in the beach…I’m not going to put all of these creams on my face every morning during summer. We are not living in Sahara, ppl.

You don’t have to “put it all on your face”, dear. You can just kill two birds with one stone by using cosmetics with UVA/UVB protection. I use Lightening Care (SPF 30) Daytime Protection. It’s a day cream which suits my fair skin type (besides, I easily get flecks of sunlight). This thing prevents pigmentation as it has C vitamin.
