Accutane Week 2

So, I am in my second week of Accutane. Let me start by saying the day I started Accutane I had also woken up with a cold.

SO, about my 3rd day on Accutane my cold just kept getting worse..well for 4-5 straight days my head was killing me, awful pressure and pain, the doctor saw no signs of a sinus infection because my nasal passages were clear and my face did not hurt (just he right side of my head) and by this time my cold had pretty much subsided..(the head pain started Friday) so the following wednedsay after seeing a doctor on Tuesday I went to the ER, they did a cat scan and did find a DEEP DEEP sinus infection... so it was not the Accutane, so that's good!

all of that being said I stopped my Accutane for 2 days, because I didn't know what was causing the pain.. but I started it up again yesterday.

I haven't seen any changes in my skin yet, just chapped-ish lips (no cracking just wrinkly and red), which I am covering them with aquaphor.

as far a joint pain, I haven't experienced any, but yesterday and today my RIB CAGE is hurting... it feels as if someone is pushing on my chest/ribs/bra line... its strange.. its not painful.. just uncomfortable..

ill continue to update as things change!!

Hey there! I too am on my 2nd week of accutane! I'm sorry to hear about that sinus infection. Hope that doesn't happen again. My chest feels kind of tight at time as well. Not painful, just pressure and uncomfortable like you said. Anyway I hope everything goes well with your treatment. I'm so ready to be done with all of this! So emotionally draining!! Ill be watching your post! Have a good one!
