Approximately 2 Months In

BumpyNuisances

Hello to anybody reading this!

I found this website a bit late, but thought it'd be a good way to keep track of my own progress with my treatments (FYI Differin is at 0.1% ). I was pretty much free of acne until 4 months ago when my face exploded with white heads and cystic acne(this has cleared up fortunately). I currently have approximately 5 active spots in various regions of my face from the chin to near my eye, which although doesn't sound bad. They are in extremely noticeable positions.

Unfortunately,I've picked up lots of PIH (red and brown marks) particularly on my cheeks, which although a huge problem. I think I better stop my acne first! (Also I'm a guy and I'm not desperate enough to use make up to cover it up yet)

Feel free to share your own experiences or questions

Edit: I actually just counted the amount of pills I have left. I've actually done two months of the treatment (it's flew by). Perhaps makes it even more annoying that I'm still getting these damn spots

Is Differin 0.1% a higher dose than Differin 0.3%?? Differin never worked for me, it was too weak. It was my first Retinoid but it did get all the gunk out of my pores. It took about a month and a half but I think for it to be so gentle it was kind of worth it. For your scarring, if your skin can handle it with the Differin, Neutrogena Rapid Clear fight and fade toner worked for me. It takes like a week to 2 weeks to notice a difference with it. Good Luck!

I thought that it's a lower concentration, I promised to give Differin at least 3 months before I go for other options, which seems increasingly likely. My skin has no problem at all with the Differin though, virtually no flaking or dry skin except on the spots themselves and it has decreased the amount of cystic spots (one super annoying one on my chin).

In terms of the marks, I think they will stick around for a while simply due to past experience (damn asian skin) and every single spot leaves a mark but I can cope with that if my skin ever calms down

Thanks for your comment!
