I had the dermapen prodeure done on my face, I have scars and redness on cheeks. I just wanted to get some type of improvement or something to just make my scars to look better.I really don't see any improvement, I being struggling with depression. I just wish their was some type of support out their for people who suffers with acne Any other skin problem. I wish that people would stop being mean and cruel to others because the way we look. It's crazy how words or discrimination can effect are self esteem.

I use amoxicillin to combat acne. I just visited with a dermatologist, who I see regularly, this morning. She examined me and noted that I have no active acne on my face. My regimen may help you:

1. amoxicillin or cephalexin

2. benzaclin or duac

3. tretinoin or adapelene

4. topical clindamycin

Lastly, as far as emotional well-being issues, hopefully you can feel some support from this community. I also think it may not be a bad idea to see a therapist or a psychiatrist. I have both plus group therapy. I never bring acne up in any of my sessions but it definitely used to affect my mood. The scars still bother me. Sometimes I get sad and wish I had been on my current regimen for the past 20 years instead of the last three. :( Hang in there! Once you start a good regimen, the scars will slowly fade and your beautiful face will heal.

You're not the only one, trust me. Acne.org is probably the best support group out there and the advice from other members is invaluable. We all wish we could go back and do things differently to avoid having the problems we now have to live with but unfortunately, that isn't possible. We can only share what worked and hope that we can prevent others from having to suffer the way that we do. I just wanted to mention that I have found argan oil to be excellent at stopping breakouts and removing a lot of brown spots. Unfortunately, it doesn't do much for scarring. I'm looking into doing Fraxel for myself soon but I get the impression the results won't be permanent. Either way, have courage, we're all in this together.
