About Me

I've decided to make use of this process by providing my own in depth review of Tri-Previfem (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo generic brand birth control pills). I'll try to keep my blog posts short, concise, and to the point because I know long and drawn-out posts are a hassle to read. This post will most likely be the longest since I have to give my background.

About Me:

  • African-American/Black
  • 18 years old
  • Female
  • My "type" of acne usually consists of numerous small bumps and small whiteheads on my forehead and cheeks
  • I have extremely oily skin
  • In college
  • Have been battling acne since puberty began (age 10)
  • Worst stage was Age 11-13
  • Moderately bad until I was about 16 years old
  • Never been on any form of birth control/hormone altering medication

What I've Used in the Past:
    1. Proactive = Sucks
    2. Clean and Clear = Sucked too
    3. Benzaclin Peroxide + Tazorac + Eucerin = First regimen to actually reduce my acne significantly
    4. Cetaphil + Epiduo + Cearve Night and Day = My current on and off regimen; moderately clears me up for the most part but I never stay clear.

[*]Severely allergic to MAC Studio Fix foundation

[*]Can occasionally get away with MAC Matchmaker

[*]Regularly use Bare Minerals (All three forms of foundation: Original, Matte, and Ready) which is probably why I can never keep my face completely clear. Although this is true, it doesn't significantly or abnormally break me out at all.

I'm trying birth control pills for reasons other than acne control, but acne was definitely among the main reasons to try it.
