So I'm back... I realized that i miss writing about my acne experiences.
So this year has been full of up's and down's. My acne did seem to 'seatlle' down a bit, but has always been there (which sucks!). BUT apprently my body likes being pregnant, my face was so clear, the best it has been in YEARS! Unfortunately it was short lived as things didnt work out, and I MC at 11 weeks ( . After that I broke out worst then ever and my face looked like poo.
So because my face was breaking out like made due to my hormones going CRAZY, I was ready to try almost anything, and was contemplating going back to see my doctor for prescription medication. But before I did that one day i randomly decided to add a few drops of 'Plamers cocoa butter skin therapy oil' in with my regular moisturizer. I had purchased the cocoa butter for myself (due to the above), but never used it. On the bottle it said it was used for scars, stretch marks, dry/damaged skin, uneven skin tone and aging skin.
Dry/damaged skin & uneven skin tone!!! That is what i have, red marks from acne were just hanging around, my skin was uneven and looked horrible even with make up on, and it was dry and flaky no matter what I did.
I decided to use it as I was willing to almost try anything. But the awesome thing is, after a couple days, my skin started to look better. I was less red, zits were not as mean.
I have now been using the oil with my regular skin care routine (Vichy Normaderm Deep clensing Gel applied with a face bruch, Normaderm 3 in 1 Unclogging Purifying Toner and Normaderm daily anti-acne hydrating lotion) I'll be honest, I only wash my face in the morning.. and I remove my make up at night with the Purifying toner.
Today I noticed that my face looks pretty darn good, (and that is a few mins after I just washed my face & stepped out of the shower when it normally looks the worst!). I'm using less make up, because my skin isnt as red. AND it looks smooth. I have like 1 active zit, which is tiny, my face is clearing up nicely, My porse on my cheeks even look smaller.
I'm really hoping this continues! )
