Day 1

So i started using the regimen last night, and i thought i would make a blog for all the new incomers (like me) to read what they should be expecting.

Im asian. I have oily skin and have moderate cystic acne. Ive had acne for all my teen years. Ive used Roaccutane before, except it failed the first go so i gave up all hope but then i came across this regimen and thought i might give it a go instead of going on another round of roaccutane.

Last night i washed my face with QV GENTLE CLEANSER, then applied about 1.5 peas worth of Benzoyl peroxide on my face, then used NEUTROGENA MOISTURIZER FOR SENSITIVE SKIN. All non comedogenic.

This morning when i woke up, my face looked like its been slapped a thousand times. Its fully red, i would describe it as inflamed, and it feels like its burning... Ive read that its normal, but im not sure if other people's 'redness' is as red as mine. Mines pretty red :|

To help the redness subside ive put on Avene Restoring cream on it (ive found Avene's products works WONDERS!) and the burning is reducing by the minute.

Yesterday i had a pimple on my cheek, but this morning it seemed to have subsided :| so im holding that as an indication that the BP is working! :) well.... thats the one upside i have.

Thats all for day 1... I'll post whenever i can... ill use this as an outlet of my rage and sadness while waiting for my skin to adjust...

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU HAVE SIMILAR SYMPTOMS, i need to know that its not only me that has inflamed redness cuz of the BP...

I am so happy that you will be documenting your journey. I am starting the regimen after i finish my accutane course (i never got clear) and would like to know what to expect. Are you going to include pictures?

Good Luck
