Well, I went to the dermatologist today and she prescribed me Bactrim, Clendamycen gel, Retin A, and a BP facewash. I'm looking forward to trying these medications and hopefully will see some results. I'm so over having acne (8 years is waaaay too long). Has anyone tried these medications before? If so, how did you like them?

I tried Bactrim a little over a month ago although I had to stop because it gave me horrible headaches that would last for days! I did see some pretty good improvement on it after about 2 weeks. I would have continued to use it if it was t for the headaches. I've also used the Retin A and it never really did anything for me. All it did was dry out my skin so I could only use it once a week or as much as I could tolerate it. I also used a BP face wash before. I don think it really helped with my acne and I like using just a normal cleanser like cetaphil or cerave. I also like using the cetaphil moisturizer every night. I feel like my skin is so much nicer when I moisturize it and it helps with popped pimples and dry areas.
