Unfortunately, the DK regimen did not work out for me. It irritated my skin and made it twice as worst. I really wanted the Regimen to work for me. So after noticing that the Regimen was destroying my skin, I switched to a more natural alternative. I began using manuka honey as a cleanser, jojoba oil as a moisturizer and tea tree oil as a spot treatment, also I would put aloe vera on my face every night like a mask. It really healed my damaged skin from the BP. And I had a whole lot less cystic acne. It seemed promising, but I noticed this natural regimen was not taking care of my blackheads. So I decided to change my cleanser, I have recently been using neutrogena acne prone facial bar and neutrogena oil free acne wash. And it has been working so far, but I have only been using it for two weeks. It’s so soon to really tell if these cleansers work. But I do still use manuka honey as a mask and I still love aloe vera as night mask. But I’m afraid this new regimen may not work for long, so I thought it would be pest to vist a dermatologist once again to really decide my next move. Last year I was on Tazorac and oral antibiotics, tetracycline.
Monday I have an appointment with the dermatologist. I am assuming they will put me back on Tazorac gel, and possibly antibiotics as well. At this point I am willing to take any medication. I’m sick of playing trial and error on over the counter products. I really didn't want to be on harsh medication but I’ve ran out of options. The only thing that cleared my skin was Tazorac so I guess it’s obvious to go back to that. I guess we’ll see what happens on Monday. wish me luck, and I’ll keep you posted.
