Day 3 Of The Regimen

tingoting

Today is my third day of the regimen. I can feel that my skin is quite dry.. I put on half a finger length of the treatment on my face and my neck. I feel that I don't need to wait for 10 mins before I put on the treatment but put it on right after I get out of shower. The treatment is sucked my by my skin right away and I hardly have time to smooth it out!

I am using a lot of moisturizer and sunblock. I mixed 1.5 pump of moisturizer plus 1 pump worth of zinc oxide sunblock. My goodness perhaps I used too much sunblock... It is super white and really makes my face's dryness and flakeiness show! I have some BB cream on top but it looks like I have dry patches everywhere. When I smile, I see wrinkles around my mouth! I regret not getting jojoba oil when I ordered... I thought my super oily skin will not need it but I was wrong! I might pick up one from the local drug store and put on less sunblock tomorrow.

With the dry patches on my face, I still see my my face continue to be very shiny.. my skin is very confused haha... Goal for tomorrow, less sunblock and more moisturizer.

One thing I want to point out is that the moisturizer really sting! Is that strange? I have this scratch on my hand it really hurts when I wash my face! it doesn't hurt when I wash my hair though. Also it stung my eyes although I didn't put it close to my eyes. You should be aware of this and avoid eye area... Since I don't dare to smear sunblock around my eyes (cause I don't want to move BP to my eye area), I have to wear sunglasses when I go out now. I will continue this blog once I see changes in my skin.

When you ordered a kit, you didn't order the Kit Plus? With Jojoba oil and such? :)

If not would it be a good idea to do so? I'm worried about the peeling and flakiness. It seems inevitable but I could probably avoid it being bad. I'm sorry to hear about this and I wish I could help. I'm ordering The Regimen in 3 days and I hope to tell you how my experience is. Thanks. :]

I totally regret not ordering the jojoba oil! I would suggest you to do so! I have super oily skin and i thought i won't need it. This morning I used two full pumps of the moisturizer. I waited for 30 mins and my face is still super shiny! I think my skin can't absorb so much at once... but now it is 3:30pm and I feel that the skin around my mouth is getting quite dry. Tomorrow I may try to bring some of the moisturizer with me to work so that I can put some moisturizer in the afternoon.

I am happy to hear that you'll be starting the regimen too! Please let me know how it goes :) I will also try to update with photo :)

What's the reason for not putting jojoba oil on acne prone skin? From what I know, jojoba oil cleans clogged pores and helps restore the skin’s natural pH balance, so it’s a safe, natural, and effective treatment for acne.

The moisturizer from the regimen also has jojoba oil and so far I am feeling awesome on day 4.

i did the same thing as you, at first i didn't buy the jojoba oil, and then i went to my local vitamin shoppe and i got a big thing of jojoba oil only for 9 bucks! good deal! anyway what i do is, i wash with the cleanser and then i put on the BP and i have added like 12 drops to my AHA lotion and it works wonders. I am on day 5 and my face is tight every now and then, but it hasn't peeled or anything like that. Also i am starting to see results but im just getting past the purging stage of regimen.. UGH. Anyway, you might wanna think about getting the AHA lotion because it has worked for me, and my skin is naturally always dry, i mean no matter what type of lotion i put on there!!!! The only thing that gave me hydrated skin was OLIVE OIL! huge mistake i broke out with like 4 cystic zits the next day... however, the jojoba oil doesn't break me out, and actually hydrates my already dry skin.

Oh maybe I should look into my local vitamin store and see if they have jojoba oil! I am too lazy to order jojoba oil again cause I had to drive to states to pick it up the last time! (I live in Canada). I am on day 4 and I haven't dared to touch AHA yet. My skin around my mouth is quite tight and you can see dry patches on my chin. When I smile, you can see how dry my face is (which is crazy cause I have never seen these dry/wrinkle lines on my face before). Since I know that putting two pumps of moisturizer doesn't work for me, I have been using one pump at first, and adding pea sized moisurizer constantly on my chin.

I did buy AHA with my order (yes the only thing I didn't get is the jojoba!) but I am going to listen to Dan's recommnendation and wait til 2nd week to use AHA. I don't wanna irritate my face more at the moment. The dry patches bothers me cause I have never had it before and it's a bit itchy.

Nice, yeah they sell jojoba oil everywhere. I didn't even by the moisturizer cause i knew it wouldn't work for me, becuase i have the driest face known to man.. so iv been using the aha cream i think youll like it, but yeah wait till week two if your face is really peely. i found it also helps if you take tweezers and pull the dry skin off that way your not irritating the rest of the skin around the dry area.

sorry but I don't really understand - you have dry skin and AHA helps moisturize your skin better than the moisturizer? isn't it a chemical exfoliate?
