First Post, Woohoo!

Hey guys! So I just set up this bloggy-blog to talk about acne, obviously, and my journey through teenagerdom. Just for interest's sake and to shed a little light on the situation, I have combination skin; my nose and forehead get insanely oily and the rest of my face is normal. My skin is also sensitive, and can dry out quite easily. Joy.

If asked, I would of course say my acne is really heavy and horrible because, helloooo, I'm freaking out about my skin! In actuality it's probably light... see, my problem is not so much new acne as it is acne scarring. Which is downright horrid because the scars look like active breakouts, even though they aren't. dry.png

I am, however, breaking out at the moment because I switched cleansers. Bad idea. See, I had this regimen that was working well and my skin was actually looking quite nice-my mom even complimented me on it.

But then, I took a fateful trip to the drugstore. I was perusing the skincare aisle, la di da, when out of the corner of my eye I saw a cleanser. It instantly attracted me, and darn it, I fell for its appealing packaging and persuasive little blurb on the back! I used it probably around 4 times (so 2 days) and noticed a change in my skin-not for the better, however.

So now here I am, with a disgusting face and gross zits and I want to hide. Seriously, I was inspecting my face in the mirror when I got home from school and started crying. It was bad. cry.gif

Anyway, back to the subject at hand: my acne.

Since the bad experience with my new breakout (about 2 days ago), I've gone back to my original cleanser, and I have every limb crossed in hopes that it'll clear up my skin like it did before! So here's hoping! Talk to you later!

xo Katherine
