So to be honest, i started this blog.. and i really dont know if i did it right-____-

But i wanted to share my story, and i am hoping that the products i will start using will fix my problem..

I am a junior in highschool.

I didn't get facial acne until 8th grade...and my bacne didnt come to my attention until summer going into freshman year.

It started off on my forehead, little white bumps.. then i started getting 1 or 2 larger ones in the area close to my nose , under my eyes... end of freshman year i was getting it on my cheeks, but my forehead had cleared.. currently I am mostly clear with few to little break outs on my cheeks.. however i am left with acne marks.. dark/red marks.. which are sooo frustrating.. because you almost have clear skin! and you think OMG my skin is clearing up.. and you're left with these uigly deceiving dark marks that make your skin look horrible. Q1: does dans regimine including the jojoba oil and AHA help clear up dark marks on the face and back? .. ANWAYS, i feel soo insecure about my skin.. i never leave the house without some form of cover up.. and i dont wear anything that shows my back/ shoulders. I dont even want to try out for the school team because i dont want people to see my back... on my back i have a few break outs.. but mostly teeny bumps every now and than that yoiu cant see, but can feel.. what you can see is the dark marks! UGH! i ahte them soo much.. and they make me soo self conscience... I think i stress out more about my skin than i do with school-____- I have tried countless products... from drugstore(neutrogena, clearasil, aveeno, cetaphil, avon, etc) to more high end stuff like (exposed, pro active) i have spent so much money on these things, money that i dont have.. and dans regimine is honestly going to be the last thing i spend "big" money on before i give up. Because honestly i dont have the emotional stability or money to continue doing this-_- haha! So thats actually about it for me.. i think i just wanted to get my question out there.. and.. tell my.. story.. which isn't really unique.. or special... i guess...

skin type

* combo-oily skin

*light-moderate acne

*main concern- getting rid of dark/red marks from acne

* i do not have any scarring, thank god

*i am asian and caucasion, so maybe that has something to do with my marks being aso visible?

products that i have found to really like

*cetaphil moisturizer- i really like this because its soo basic,simple...and doesn't break me out or feel heave or greasy

*vichy normaderm triple action anto-acne hydrating lotion- this helps me get rid of break outs/pimples over night.. and are usually gone after 2 days.. i actually really like this product for pimples.. doesnt do much for dark marks..but that isnt its purpose...however i dont want to spend 23.00 on a 1.7 fl oz. product ever 2 months-__- i'd liek to keep my regimine simple.. and easy..after i get clear.

and as for the products i can use to get rid of the dark/red marks.. if dans regimine kit plus? i think thats what its called.. doesnt work.... i'm looking for something that isnt costly and relatively easy to do...thanks:]

Oh yeah, also I don't think i will have a problem with the BP, i have used it before.. and i dont react badly to it...so i'm hoping that, that means i wont flake really bad and break out even more.. and have supre red, irritated skin...

1. Dont think Jojoba does much for marks, i didnt use it long enough to find out. AHA on the other hand is meant to. I use AHA on my back everyday after i shower and on good days it's 100% clear bad days 90% due to the odd spot, old marks from when i started about a year ago are pretty much non existent(mine wasnt severe though, maybe 3-4 at its worst but quite a few annoying clogged pores on my lower back which sound like what you have and it got rid of them good) and new ones generally fade away. However it increases sun sensitivity so be careful in the sun. That being said i also clean my back with head and shoulders so that might be helping aswell. I've used AHA on my face aswell and not had the same results as my back, its also recommend you wait a while before added AHA into the regimen, generally get clear on the regimen first then introduce aha.

Theres no question 2 but I'll tell you about my personal experience with he regimen and possibilities that i found whilst researching myself.

1. It will probably get worse before it gets better. Good chance you'll get an initial breakout as you purge which could lead to more marks so be prepared for that. However this could be short term pain for long term gain.

2. If your acne is only mild you may not need to go 3 pumps (is it back to 2 with the old pump?) You could even try just doing the regimen on acne prone areas instead of your whole face, other have/are doing this with success.

3. Some people believe BP can increase red marks from new acne so if anything I dont think BP helps with red marks,

4.I also thought i wouldn't get flaky skin cause i had oily combo skin and was using proactiv before the regimen but by the time i on the full 3 pumps i was needing to moisturize half way through the day due to flakes.

5. $23 for 1.7 fl oz? Dont even know how much that is lol, what wrong with the metric system, only like everywhere bar America uses it.

Personal opinion: Doesn't sound like you need the regimen as you're mostly clear but you could either get it and try it out only on your acne prone areas or just get the BP and spot treat with it(quality BP). The regimen also might not be considered simple due to waiting between steps. Wash, 5 mins, bp 10 mins, moisturize. I myself wouldnt complain about that long to have clear skin but some find it tiresome. I do recommend the AHA though for bacne.

Disclaimer: I am no longer on the regimen due to an allergic reaction to bp but was on it for 5-6 months.

As for the BP, i used a topical treatment prescribed by my doctor..and it did cause dryness but it wasn't something that i panicked over... But i will be sure to moisturize, I do now anyways because i dont want an overproduction of sebum, due to lack of moisture...Actually i have been using about a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of sugar.. mixing it and applying it to my face with my hands, then going in with a q-tip to put it on areas i want to concentrate it on, and i have to say, after using it consecutively for 3 days, i have noticed significant improvement in my post acne marks, and will continue this for about a week to see where it gets me.. if you have dark marks, i suggest trying this..As for the head and shoulders, i have heard about this and i think it works because it contains zinc.. at least thats what i've read...But thanks for the advice! :]
