1 Month

1 Month

So it's been a month... well near enough for me and I'm feeling good, apart from a few annoying cysts on the back of my neck. eusa_snooty.gif

My face is looking pretty clear except for some redness and scarring, two cysts appeared on the back of my neck though..angry.png

I am constantly checking my face for any new activity, Roaccutane makes me really paranoid because it gives me doubts if a single pimple pops up, I don't know why. ermm.gif

I'm not even sure anyone reads this but hopefully future Roaccutane users will and find comfort in my personal experience, if nobody reads this at all, no worries, I'll come back to this in a year and be able to laugh my head off. cheer.gif

Drinking on Roaccutane

It was my birthday last week and I got absolutely hammered. Literally.

I had one of the best nights of my life and I know I will never forget it, I did some of my own research on drinking on Roaccutane and there was many mixed reviews, I ignored them all and just did my own thing and had a good time. Fortunately for me I was fine, my liver must be a proper LAD because although I was absolutely drunk, I wasn't sick and the funny thing was that I wasn't even hungover... weird. I must of been blessed, so if you're wondering whether or not you should go out drinking, I recommend eating a ton of food before you start consuming alcohol as that's what I did and I woke up normal... nothing wrong at all.

I'm not saying that you should go out and binge drink yourself to death, just be careful, Roaccutane is a powerful drug and just... look after your body. I can't stress this enough though, please be careful with alcohol and check with your doctor first, I'm a really fit and healthy young lad and everybody's body is different. w00t.gif

If anyone has any questions, don't be afraid to ask... I really only want to help, after all... we are all in this together...boogie.gif

Good luck being done with 1 month! I am on day 11 and I feel like I have forever to go! Did you get an initial breakout? If so, when did it clear?

Hey, Thank you!

Yeah I had that feeling too, but honestly the time flies by. It feels as though I was only prescribed Roaccutane yesterday...

Yeah I think I did get an IB, it started at week 2-3 and I'm still clearing from it now, my face just looks like a dry red mess at the minute. It definitely gets worse before it gets better... Good luck with your course though! :)

Your post made me feel so much better! I have drank twice while on accutane and both times woke up completely fine but i've been paranoid about it. Glad i'm not the only one! It seems like you and I are kind of similar. I haven't experienced any side effects either and my skin is just kind of getting better without getting too much worse. How many milligrams are you on?? Also what did your back pain feel like? I seem to have some muscle pain but I can;t discern if it's from accutane or not because I work out 5 days a week too.

Best of luck as you continue your journey, I hope everything continues to go smoothly!

I'm glad it did! :)

I'm on 30mg and the dose seems quite low, sometimes I even forget I'm on the drug.

I only get muscle pain when i bend down, it's not even that bad but I did used to have a lot of muscle pain from working out; I don't really notice it.

Thank you! and good luck to you also!
