Today is the beginning of month four. Still on the 50mg, and it's definitely working! I am starting to feel confident without makeup on my cheeks. As an added (and very appreciated) bonus, my scarring seems to be getting better each day as my skin heals more and more. I was lucky enough to avoid body acne completely, so when these last couple months are finished I am hoping for clear, clear, clear and mostly scar free skin. Fingers crossed everybody!
I have been running 5k three times a week (cross training the others) and I think that has definitely helped clear my skin. I have always been physically active, but this added push of running has done wonders. Maybe the sweat/rain/rain/snow/vitamin D (never had that before - Seattle!)/fresh air or the 4o minute walk to the group start point is a secret miracle elixir. I think. At the very least the exercise is releasing endorphins which counteract my naturally high (and boosted with midterms) stress levels, which could be reducing inflammation. Now that I think of it, when I've gone on huge exercise bought's before my skin has cleared drastically, why hadn't I thought about that earlier? I highly recommend starting a workout plan if you have bad acne (in conjunction with prescribed medication if necessary) as it seems to have helped me a lot.
I'm daydreaming of summertime now.
