Day 41 - up to 40mg

Following a visit to the dermatologist my intake is upped to 40mg - two 20mg tablets a day.

So hopefully things will start speeding up. I don't go back now for three months!

Skin is still pretty bad - the chin spots have calmed down a bit, but I've developed some cysts on my forehead which are very difficult to conceal. I've also noticied some spots - actual whiteheads on my back. I've never ever had any back spots even during the worst bouts of breakout so this is very perplexing. My chest remains completely clear thankfully.

I'm investing in some Bare Minerals make up - I've been meaning to for months but I'm just about to run out of Mac makeup so now is the perfect time.

Lips have massively improved - vaseline cocoa butter is a dream come true. I'm never using carmex again! I have also changed my regimen which has helped massively with skin dryness:

Washing with hot water and a sponge using some Simple daily wash (or a gentle exfoliator once a week) rinse with cold water and gently towel dry. Apply a gentle toner, currently No7. Then apply Aquaphorus (the strong excema cream) and them allow it to absorb. If I'm going to bed I apply some Clearasyl overnight cream to problem area but not too much. I've found that this massively decreases spot size by morning. Morning routine is just washing with simple gently and applying a simple moisturiser. No toner or spot cream for the daytime.

It's very time consuming but more than anything it's therapeutic.

I still wear foundation make up which probably isn't great but I just can't get away with it with my job.

Pictures definitely to follow soon just can't seem to find the time!

Hey, are you from England? I have just been upped to 40mg about a week ago and have not got to go back for 3 months as well! I think i have to take two 20mg tablets for 8 weeks, then start taking 55mg for 4 weeks and come back. I have 3 months worth of prescription filling up my draws haha!
