Mission Statement!

First I would like to introduce myself as kuropanda and I'm a rising sophomore at a very stressful University. Last year (2010) at around this time I started to suffer from moderate, chronic acne as a result of stress from the transition from high school to university. Through most of the 2010-2011 academic year I had at least one blemish on my face :naughty: . Additionally the drastic change in diet really did a number on my skin my skin and energy level (college food is possibly lower on the ladder than fast foods).

However since finally going to a dermatologist back in May (2011), I have more or less successfully cleared my skin. I recently ended my 2 month stint on antibiotics (minocyclin) and I'm hoping to continue good results. My current daily regimen-

Murad Clarifying Cleanser

Duac (prescription topical cream)

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

Murad Oil Control Mattifier SPF 15

Clinique all about eyes

Boscia BB Cream

Murad Clarifying Cleanser

Differin (prescription topical gel)

Once of twice a week I do a green clay mask made of:

-french green clay

-3 uncoated aspirin

-aloe vera, water, lemon juice or facial toner (anything at hand to dissolve aspirin in)

-manuka oil

I also use a Clarisonic Mia with sensitive facial brush. When I do get a pimple, they are very very small, un-inflamed white heads that clear up within two days. The major problem I have now is the dark spots (scars?) that were left behind by the acne. Though this is a vast improvement from what I had started with, I'm searching for something that will help take care of this hyperpigmentation without interfering with my presciptions. In the past I had used a night gel containing hydroquinone, which did little to nothing for me. For this reason I'm looking for a good facial peel that I don't need to use more than twice a week. Two weeks ago I started using a sample of REN glycolactic peel. The sample tube has a lot of product in it, so I will hopefully see some good results before it runs out  .

If you have any peel or dark spot treatment suggestions, I would love to know about them!
