So, I started this blog on a whim, really. I feel like it might help my skin and others if I keep a constant log.
A little history: I had horrible acne, very inflamed and irritated for about 2 years. The regimen cleared me, but I've been looking for something to rid myself of scars.
So I, stupidly, used DHC's Salicylic Acid Toner which has NaOH in it and made me breakout in cosmetic acne. I'm a stickler about not irritating my skin, because that's what got me into this whole serious acne mess in the first place. I went rapid clear-pad and 10% BP happy a few years ago. I was the bloody Joker with the stuff. I really don't know how I let this slip under my radar. I'm currently giving my skin a break for two days by only washing it with CeraVe foaming facial wash twice a day and frequently applying CeraVe moisturizing lotion. On Sunday night, I'll start using BP again. (Today's saturday morning. I'm on vacation in India.) I'll buy Paula Begoun's SA (and I'm thinking antioxidants) as soon as I get back to the US. (which can't be soon enough. I miss home so much. Mainly because I have two cute little brothers waiting for me.
I hope I'm clear by then. In a way, it's good that this happened, because it gave me an excuse to create this blog!
The song I'm listening to as I write this is "Backseat". I love the line: "Damn girl, damn girl you f***ing with the man, girl." I love f***ing with the Man--so rebellious! I'm in college, and rebellion is like the definition of my life. Secretly and subversively, of course. And now, Pitbull's "Give Me Everything". LOVE Pitbull. Makes me wanna dance!
Here's to not letting acne get you down. Ever. It's not worth it! (of course, it's alot better than before...)
The before is in December:
