A Little History....

I have had mild acne all since around the age of 14 and it has been a persistent bugger! I have everything the pharmacist or boots has to offer and made my way though every 'spot drug' my GP has to offer and a various courses of the pill and lymacycline which seemed to help for a while but didnt quite zap my problems away.

I took a course of accutane (3 months of 25mg, and 3 months of 35mg) After 6 long, very sore months of hiding in the house, my skin was amazing! I really thought I had cracked it this time and I was free from the 'plague' of acne! I could talk to guys, I could dress up and not hide behind my friends when we went out, I could be normal as I saw it!

For around 6 months my skin really was fantastic, I was able to go out whenever I wanted and not have the acne control my day plans. The way i saw it was I could be a normal girl and wear normal girls clothes (as i suffered with it on my chest and back as well and my face!) The feeling of been able to wear a backless dress really was the best feeling ever!

Then I noticed my skin was creeping back to its old ways. I went to my GP and they suggested lymacycline just to hold my skin in place to see if that would help even though previously it had started to fail, I tried it for a little longer. For a long time I was taken lymacycline to keep my acne at bay and it kept it down for a short length of time but after a while I suppose my body just got used to it and it wasn't doing the job anymore.

So I took another trip to the Dermo, after constant nagging to my GP. The Dermo women was lovely and set me of on 25mg for 3 months as she said my acne was persistent but not severe but a mild case that needed to be addressed.
