First off, let me explain my problem to you guys. I have acne in the middle of my forehead (mostly blackheads), up in the hairline on the left side of my forehead (I run my hand through my bangs a LOT), and on my nose (zits). I have really sensitive skin so it is hard to find products that don't irritate my skin.
It has been a week since I started this regimen.
I use the face wash once a day every day, and the mask two days a week (Sunday & Wednesday). I'll admit, I did try the mask as a spot treatment on Tuesday, but it didn't really do anything at all. I still used the mask as a full face mask the next day, though. Before I wash my face I wet a wash cloth with warm water and let it sit on my face for 2-3 minutes to open up my pores. I then wash my face, making sure I really rub my face and cleanse thoroughly. I then rinse it off with warm water. On Monday & Tuesday and Thursday - Saturday, I splash my face with chilly water (to close my pores) and then immediately put on the CeraVe moisturizer. I make sure I put on a minimal amount. On Sunday & Wednesday, I wet my face with lukewarm water and apply the mask (remember, this is right after I wash my face. I do not apply the moisturizer until later). I make sure I only put a thin layer on and rub really well to break up all the little blue balls. I leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. I then splash chilly water on my face and apply a small amount of CeraVe moisutrizer all over my face.
Improvement so far:
There has not been much improvement. I still have the same zits that I had before I started this regimen. I am still going to keep trying, though! I have faith that this will work. I may stop using the moisturozer to see if that will help. I am only using the moisturizer because when I didn't use it my skin started peeling like crazy! It got really bad when I was putting make-up on - the rubbing made it 10x worse!
I can't use benzoyl peroxide because I am allergic to it! If I wasn't, I would be using the regimen!
I wear make-up.
