Day 21

So this marks 3 weeks of accutane. My skin looks a ton better than day 1.

I still feel really good. Headaches every so often, but that's pretty typical for me. I wish I could take tylenol, but whatever.

Today I feel a little down. Not depressed, just down. I stay at home, which is totally new to me. I have ALWAYS either had 2 jobs or been in school full time. My husband got a great job and we moved, so I'm staying home, attempting to make an easy transition for our son. That being said, I'm bored out of my mind!!! I was all excited to go have lunch with my husband but he called and said he had to attend a meeting at 130... But I was already dressed up and ready :( so now I'm looking fab, watching TLC on the couch. Ugh!

I'd exercise again, but I have a headache, or the beginning of a headache.

I hope everyones day is going better than mine.

Hi there. So I've been getting headaches too and am sometimes taking tylenol or tylenol PM at night. Is that not allowed on accutane? I saw in your blog u said something about tylenol and I got worried. Going to search the web but wanted to check with you too. That sucks when you're already dressed to go out and you end up staying in...wasted outfit/prep time/ skiin makeup routine. Grr. I hear ya.

Tylenol is bad for your liver and so is accutane. My Derm told me the effects are multiplied when you take the two of them together. NSAIDs are ok like ibuprofen or advil. I used to take Tylenol pms too, but the active ingredient is diphenhydramine, which is benedryl, so you can take that or Tylenol simply sleeps which don't have acetominaphin (sp) hope that helps.

I'm so happy your face is clearing up! Gives me hope (I'm on day one of accutane)
You'll do great! Like anything, there's good days and bad. I broke out during te second week, but I've gotten to the point where I no longer have any cysts, only regular pimple but they die within 12-24 hrs. Good luck with your journey! I'm excited for clear skin!

Just now saw your reply note about the tylenol! Really, had I not ready your blog from this day, I'd still be taking tylenol and prob would've for as long as i was on it...so thank you for blogging!! I've changed to advil since, but haven't bought a replacement for nightime so I'll def go out and get the tylenol simply sleeps - I have never heard of that. Thank you, thank you!

I've learned a lot about accutane from other peoples blogs. There is so much information that the dermatologist cannot possibly give to everyone. Glad my Derm said something to me, because I used to take Tylenol like it was going out of style!
