My face: Unlike a couple days ago, yesterday no new pimples sprouted up during the day. And my face felt moisturized, not dry and not greasy all day long. I'm thinking it has something to do with the Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion that for the past 4 or so days been using at night and in the morning. So right now I have no active pimples. Only a handful of left overs from before, but they are dry and almost gone. I noticed last night in the mirror that the blackheads on my nose looked different, and I can't explain it. (Sidenote: I've never been more in tune with my skin - looking so closely at it everyday is something new for me.) So they weren't bigger, but it looked like maybe a few were coming to the surface. Not sure, but they just looked different. Still no IB, but I assume it's right around the corner. I'm hoping that it comes (and goes!) within this first month. I know that's a lot to ask for and very very wishful thinking.
Everything else: Still the itchy scalp, but not a dry, flaky scalp. Just a little itchy. No other problems with skin on my body, arms or hands. Lips still moisturized, no peely or cracky. Eyes aren't dry, or as dry, as the past week. No muscle or joint problems. No headaches or feeling down. So I'm feeling good. All is well (for now).
Updated skin routine:
Cleanser: Avene Antirougeurs Anti-Redness Dermo-Cleansing Fluid (online for $28) (From the Avene site: Formulated to respect the sensitivity of redness-prone skin by soothing and calming the skin as it gently cleanses and removes impurities.) - let water soke from washing; wait 15 minutes to apply lotion
Lotion: Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Moisturizer - let soke in; then apply another layer with a pump of Cetaphil SPF 15 lotion (no SPF in the PM)
Supplements: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Omega 3-6-9 and Glucosamine and Chondroitin.
And, I'm still drinking a lot of water. If you have trouble "wanting" to drink so much water, try getting the to-go crystal light packets (if you haven't already). They come in all the different flavors and are only 2 calories a packet. For me, I'm much more inclined to drink huge glasses of fruit punch than plain water.
