My Tazorac Journey - Intro

Ok so here I am - new to this whole "blog" thing but I have been battling acne for years and years. I have tried everything from ProActive, AcneFree, Minocycline, Doxycycline, birth control, OTC EVERYTHING - salicylic acid products, benzoyl peroxide products, sulfur products, all natural products and the list goes on.

I am always looking for what I call my "next thing." Meaning my next trial stuff. All I want is clear skin and I feel like this shouldn't be such a battle! I would classify my acne as moderate. I have blackheads and small/medium blemishes, but what is the real problem is my whiteheads/milia. I say whiteheads/milia because dermatologists can't seem to agree on what it is. Well I got Tazorac cream 0.1% from my derm awhile ago and I didn't use it at the time because I had just started a new treatment program (that I found on my own). Needless to say it didn't work so now, I don't know how long later, I am trying the Tazorac now. My whiteheads are mostly around my mouth, chin, jawline area. And there are SO many of them it's crazy. I can't handle it. I am desperate for something to work. I am 22 years old now. When I started getting acne I was about 12 and back then people would say "It will pass with time." Well it hasn't. It has just changed and evolved with time but never gone away. Truthfully my skin isn't terrible except for the fact that I have literally hundreds of whiteheads.

I am very fair skinned and the rest of my skin on my body is crystal clear and smooth. So what gives with my face?! Geez! :)
