Day 13

MissMonroe

Tomorrow is day 14, the last day of my second week! I'm really excited to be farther and farther along in the regimen and I absolutely cannot wait until my skin starts clearing up!

My skin's still looking pretty crappy, still has lots of little whiteheads. A couple of them seem to be a little better but overall my skin is flaky, covered in tiny whiteheads, and rough looking. - Not pretty at all!

I also have this TERRIBLE habit of wanting to pull off the giant flakes on my face. I hate seeing them there and so I want so badly to pull them off. Then I'll "scrape" my skin with my fingernail, as gross as that sounds, trying to get more flakes off. I do this REALLY gently of course, the skin is so flaky it just comes right off, but I know i shouldn't be doing it at all so my goal is to not do it at all again tonight. If I can make it the rest of the night without pulling flakes off I'll be proud. :)

So that's the update, I know the beginning of the regimen can be rough so I'm still excited, I just wish my clear skin would come faster! XD Anyone who's done the regimen/gotten clear on it have any words of encouragement? Did your guys' skin have a period of looking pretty terrible toward the beginning?

Hi! I'm new here, but I've been on the regimen for over 3 weeks now. I totally know what you are talking about with all the flakiness!!! I think my problem was that I was using too much BP to start with. So I backed down on the BP just a little to let my skin recover a bit. Then I ordered Dan's AHA -- I know it says not to start it until a month in...but I did anyways. It has COMPLETELY fixed the flakiness problem! I'm finally getting clear/smooth skin because of it! It exfoliates super fast so that it reveals all the new skin underneath--I would not be without it! I only used it maybe 2 times per week on my face & now I'm still working on slowly ramping up the BP & it seems to be working great (no more layers & rough feeling skin)! I haven't read the rest of your blog so I'm not sure if you have tried that already but hope that helps & good luck--don't give up! :boohoo:

Thanks sooo much for the advice hon! I want to get Dan's AHA soo bad I kinda wish I'd ordered it with my initial regimen kit purchase! LOL After reading what you've said I may order it sometime this week. :D I'm at the end of my second week today, I want to at least ttrryy to behave and not use the AHA too early, but three weeks is only a week off of a month so I figure that's close enough! I'll probably place an order this week then once I hit the end of three weeks just try it really lightly and see how it does! Thanks for the advice! :D:boohoo:
