Coming Up On Week #2

Hey guys! I'm almost to week 2, so I thought I'd give you a little update on how the Regimen is going. So far, I'm pleased with what I'm seeing. There are already noticeable changes in my skin, some for the good and some for the not-so-good.

Let's start with the good first! My skin appears to be clearing up a little bit. Of course my bumps aren't disappearing, but there are significant changes. I haven't had any new breakouts since I've been on the Regimen. A couple days ago I woke up and had 3 extremely small little pimples around my chin. They were seriously no bigger than the tip of an ink pen, and there was hardly anything in them. They did have a white head so I popped them when I got out of the shower, barely anything came out. PS- I know you aren't supposed to pop pimples, but I can't help it. Sue me! Lol. Anyway, those 3 little boogers are the only signs of pimples so far.

It could be my imagination, but I'm noticing changes in the scarring from previous breakouts. It seems as though my marks are fading already and they're so much less noticeable now. I'm very pleased with all of that.

Now onto the not-so-good.... DRY SKIN!!!! I know it's to be expected, but I still want to fuss about it. I hate it! I've increased my amount of BP slightly, as the instructions said. I don't know, I guess I'm not excessively dry (the flakes haven't started yet), but since I'm so used to being oily, it's so strange to feel dry at all. My cheeks still aren't getting dry though, and that's where I put the majority of my BP (because that's where 90% of my acne is). My driest areas are still my chin/mouth, and now my forehead/eyebrow area is starting. I've been careful to avoid my eye area with the BP, but I do put it around my eyebrows because I tend to get monthly breakouts in that area.

Also, my skin seems to be adjusting to the DK moisturizer. It's still not ideal, but it's getting better. I'm still only using 1-1/2 pumps in the mornings because it takes to long to dry so I can apply make-up. At night I've been using a full 2 pumps. I bought some of the Pond's Hydrating Night Cream to try, but I'm not sure about it. It's got one of the ingredients from the list of things to avoid, but I can't remember which one it is. I put a little on the back of my hand to try, and it feels great! So maybe when my face starts the flaking process I'll try it out to see if it helps.

Anyway, I've bored you enough for today! I'm going to try to post a few pictures from this week later on today or tomorrow. I'll talk to you all soon!
