The Beginning

So, for those of you who don't know me here is a little background info. I'm 23 years old. I've had acne since I was about 12. After about 11 years of dealing with acne I'm finally seeing dramatic changes in my skin. I used to get about 3 pimples a day, now I get about 3-5 a month. Obviously much better. Having acne has greatly impacted my life. I am not very outgoing, when I'm breaking out I tend to have very low self esteem, I don't go anywhere without make up on, I've missed out on many experiences due to my lack of self confidence, I've been so depressed I was ready to give up on life...but I didn't. So, here I am, ready for a full out make over! I'm getting married in May, and I want my skin to be radiant...as well as the rest of me.

So here's what I've been doing. As far as my skin is concerned. I've been on Dan's regimen for almost 2 years now, I started taking birth control about 9 months ago, and this past summer I switched to organic milk. Now, I'm not sure if any of those things helped my acne, or if I just grew out of my acne. Either way I'm not complaining and will continue those three things at least until after my wedding...then I might experiment a little. So, now that I rarely break out anymore I am focusing on getting rid of my red marks and small scars. I want perfect skin, and I will have it. I have been exfoliating every other day and also using Dan's aha before bed (in addition to my nightly routine of clean and clear face wash, Dan's bp, and equate beauty lotion with a drop of jojoba oil). I am also trying the Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System. Also, since I had acne for so long, I neglected other things because I didn't think they mattered. I am 5'4". In high school I weighed about 150 lbs. I now weigh 120. My goal weight to hit before May is 110lbs. I mostly just wanted to be toned though. So my plan is to count my calories and work out at least 30 minutes a day. I'm going to try to stay around 1,200 calories a day, and eat lots of fruits and veggies.

So here goes...wish me luck. I'm going to try to post every day if possible.
