Day One :)

Day One:

I joined this blog, because I don't really have anyone to talk to about acne.

A little bit about me: I am 17 years old. I have moderate facial acne and I have very sensitive skin. Having sensitive skin is stressful, because I burn very easily, my skin always get irritated, and I always have trouble finding acne products for my skin. Two weeks ago I went to the dermatologist for the first time and he prescribed these things:

Morning: Cetaphil Face was and Adapalene cream

Night: Duac Topical Gel and SFC Lotion

In the past I have used these products to treat my acne: Proactive, Neutrogena, Stridex, Clinique, Tretenoin cream, and Benza Clin. (None of these products worked very well)

The truth is sometimes (always) I get really stressed about my skin. Every morning I take one look at my face and start getting upset about all those darn bumps all over my forehead or when I see a new pimple on my cheek I get really annoyed, and angry, and frustrated, and sometimes I cry. But, thankfully I am not the only person in the world who suffers with acne. But I wish no one suffered with acne. My complaint for the day is my face is always red and irritated and gets dry, because of the medication. I just hope someday i can say goodbye to acne! I really hope these products work for me, because being a senior in high school is hard enough.

Also, whenever I am really annoyed with my acne I watch a video on youtube that always makes me feel better, it's called A Song About Acne by charlieissocoollike.

Sorry if it seems like I am jumping all over the place with random comments.

I have two goals before college

Goal #1: Run a half marathon

Goal #2: Get rid of my acne

Hopefully I will accomplish both of these goals! But who knows...anything can happen!
