I lied - Week 4

clearforall2010

Hi everyone! Ok, so I was supposed to document the past couple of weeks but I have been so busy reading everyone else' accutane experience. I am now on week 4 and going through the IB. It began late week 2 and is nasty. Way worse than my skin originally was. I am getting huge cysts on my jawline mainly and many pimples on my cheeks and around my mouth. I feel a pimple coming on as I type. At the end of week 2 I could feel them multiplying. I am overall happy with accutane, I do trust it, and will wait as patiently as I can for progress. I also have a lot of scars and an uneven texture to my skin.

Side Effects

Dry lips - lips cannot be bare

Dry skin - good moisturizer - dry within hours

Joint pain (lower back)

Anger, aggression

What I'm using:

AVENE Cleanser, Moisturizer, Cold Cream for lips, but most important - the thermal spring water spray

Aquaphor is amazing as well

OMG your post was too funny. I was on Doxy before too - it worked well for the summer. Had you ate when you took the Doxy? You should not be combining the 2 as I am sure you know. I'm rooting for us all too!

I just ordered the Avene Thermal Spring Water and was wondering when you use it? AM and PM? After you wash face? After lotion? Randomly during the day? Thanks!I'm beginning my 3rd week and trucking along. I'm a fan of the Avene Milky Fluid facewash and have heard nothing but good things about this other Avene product. Thx,Katy
